WSEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Safety has reported, in accordance with
Section 58 of "the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period
from August 1, 1958, to August 31, 1958, which rendered necessary the employment
of certain employees in.sthe Department of Public Safety for more than eight hours
per day, or forby,hours per week, in doing the following works
Maintenan6e, work in the Bureau of Building N- intenance and
TMREAS, this emergency -- arose by reason of the following faots and oiroumetanoest
Cleanixig and remodeling third floor. of the Public Safety Building.
THEREFORE BE IT RESULVEDs That the proper pity officers are hereby authorised
"to pay the employees who performed such work in.aocordance with the provision of
the Council's Salary Ordinance No. 6446.
