RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Contract Committee
therefor and hereby awards contract for the Construction of Shepard Road Bridge over
the Tracks of the Chicago Northwestern Ry. and the Chicago Milwaukee, St. Paul &
Pacific Ry. to HURLEY CONSTRUCTION COMPANY in accordance with City plans and
specifications therefor hereto attached and the Formal Bid #7470 of said Hurley
Construction Company for the contract price of $3A7,70aA0_ (at unit prices bid),
(plus Estimated Railroad Work $4,500.00, EngineeFi'ng $16,000.00 and Inspection
$3,400.00 by City Forces) such bid being the lowest and said Hurley Construction
Company being a reasonable and reliable bidder and the Corporation Counsel be and
hereby is directed to draw up the proper form of contract therefor, and the proper
City officials hereby are authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the City
of Saint Paul.
