WBEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Safety has reported, in accordance with
Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period
from December 1, 1958 to December 31, 1958, which rendered necessary the employment
of certain employees in the Department of Public Safety for more than eight hours
per day, or forty hours per week, in doing the following works
Maintenance work in the Bureau of Building Maintenance and
WEEREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances:
Cleaning and remodeling the third floor and the Alarm Rooms of the Public
Safety Building.,
TBEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED= That the proper city officers are hereby authorized to
pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provision of the
Councils Salary Ordinance No. 6446,
