PAUL FILE NCIL NO. kFICE OF THE CITY CLERK CO L RESOLUTION — GENERAL FORM WFI0M, the Commistioner of Public Utilities has reported, in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from December lst to December 15th 1958 inc :, which rendered necessary the employment -of certain employees of the Water Department for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following work: 1 Handling meter reading cards received in the mail on Saturday: 2 Special meter reading: 3 Snpepvising repairs to water mains: AND WHERM.. this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circm etances: 1 In order to have readings ready for billers on Monday:_ 2 Meter could be read only on Saturday: 3 Water mains broke during the night: THEREF'OREj BE IT RESOLVED; that the proper city officers are hereby authorized•to pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Council's Salary Ordinance, Ordinance No: 641+6: Council File No. 190300 —By Milton Rosen — Resolved, That the proper city offi- cers are hereby authorized to pay certain employes in the Water Dept. for extra employment as described in the resolution.
