The property is owned by Record Owner: Catholic Diocese of Superior, Wisconsin Contr. Purch: Odin G. & Marion 0. Nelson, 722 Berwood Ave., St. Paul 10 Jean J. Paul 1 The following resolutions were adopted by the City Council in this matter: C.F. 186475, adopted March 11, 1958 (published March 15, 1958) set a public hearing at 10 a. m. on April 3, 1958. C.F. 186884, adopted April 8, 1958 (published April 12, 1958) or- dered the wrecking by and at the separate cost and expense of the owner, occupant, or other person in control thereof. C.F. 187552, adopted by the Council May 21, 1958 (published May 24, 1958) directed the Commissioner of Parks, Playgrounds And Public Buildings to enter the premises and wreck and remove the two story frame building thereon, and do any and all things there- in necessary for the protection of life, limb and adjoining prop- erty. Council C.F. 188607, a proved by the Council-August 5, 1958 August 9, 1958 approved the award of the contract to Patsy Wrecking Company for the sum of $345.00 i n with specifications and Formal Bid No. 7250. (published for wrecking accordance C.F. 190095, approved by the Council November 23, 1958 (pub- lished December 6, 1958,) provided that the wrecking expense of $345.00 and the expenses of the Department of Parks, Play- grounds And Public Buildings in connection with the condemna- tion in the amount of $67.25, making a total of $412.25, be paid out of Wrecking Condemned Buildings Fund No. 31 -G -23; and, in the event said sum proves collectible from the owner, same is to be credited to this fund. The 'building has now been satisfactorily wrecked and a Regis- tered Bill No. 4 -1702 was mailed to the owners. We are requesting that you hold a public hearing with ten days notice, to consider any complaints about the expenses incurred and to confirm the amount. The Council resolution confirming the expenses should end with a directive to the City Clerk to file a statement of ex- pense for the purpose of securing a lien on the property.
