COMMISSIONER COUNCIL NO. - 0161 FILE December 2, 19 WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Public Works has reported in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter the existence of an emergency during the period from July 1, 1956 to May 15, 1958,which rendered necessary the employment of Joseph A. Costello, House Drain Inspector in the Department of Public Works for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following work: Working Saturdays and holidays on the following tasks - inspecting city dumps and inspecting sewer connections. And WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances: Necessity of supervising the disposition of rubbish on busy days. Necessity of keeping up with contractor who work on Saturdays and holidays. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED That the proper city officers are hereby authorized to,pay the employee who performed such work in accordance with the provision ofthe Councilfs salary ordinance, Ordinance No. 61.6.
