RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the`Purchasing Committee-
therefor and hereby awards contract for furnishing and delivering to the Water—'
Department, Hemline & Carroll, St, Paul, Minnesota, Stop Box Sections, Bases,
Paving Covers and Bolts to GR.INNELL COWANY, INC, in accordance with City plans
and specifications therefor hereto attached and the Formal Bid #7413 of said
Grinnell Company, Inc, at a total contract price of $11,828.50, (Board of Water
Commissioners reserving the right to increase any individual item of the Materials
of the Contract by an amount not to exceed twenty per cent of the quantities
indicated for that item), such bid being the lowest and said Grinnell Company, Inc.
being a reasonable and reliable bidder, and the Corporation - Counsel be and hereby
is directed to draw up the proper form of contract therefor and the proper City
officials hereby are authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the City of
Saint Paul.
