To the Council
City of St. Paul
Gentlemen.:
I have examined the attached petition of remonstrance in the
matter of the construction of a sidewalk on the South side of
Bohland Avenue from Howell to Cleveland, and wish to report
as follows:
Percentage of resident owners' signatures necessary - 60%
Number of resident owners involved 29
Signed,petition of remonstrance - 17
or - 0
Necessary frontage - 50%
Frontage involved - 1326.68 ft.
Frontage signed for - 1062.t.
or - 8o
L_
As you will see from--the above figures, due to the fact that
an insufficient number'of resident,-,owners' signatures appear
on the petition, it is insufficient.
Very truly yours,

Re: Sidewalk on South side of Bohland Ave
from Howell to Oleveland Ave.
Hearing June 10 1958.
Due to conditions beyond my control, I will be unable
to appear before the Oity Council on June 10 1958, and voice
my approval of this improvement.
It is my opinion that the sidewalk on the South side
and on the North side of Bohland from Howell to Cleveland
Ave, is a must.
There are an unusual large amount of children in
this neighborhood and to reach,St. Leo's Ohurch & School, the
Highland Shopping Oenter.,, the Highland Theatre, the
Public Library, and.the Public Playground on Bohland and
Kenneth, they use the street because: there- are not sufficient
sidewalks.
,Needless to say the lack of sidewalks creates a
hazardous condition, and sooner or later someone is going
to get hurt and possibly killed. Don't wait for this to
happen, Act Nowl Vote Yea, Lets have the sidewalk£.
People who are opposedto the sidewalks in my
opinion are not considering the welfare of others,
