has recommended the name of James P. Richardson, Deputy Commissioner
of Finance, to be appointed to the Council Commit e tee on Mileage,

RESOLVED, that pursuant to the provisions-of Ordinance No. 11012,
and upon the recommendation of the Commissioner of Finance, said
'Deputy Commissioner of Finance, James P. Richardson, is hereby
appointed to the 'Council Committee on Mileage.

emphasize a safety program over the Fourth of July and all

WHEREAS, Boy Scout Troop No. 100 of Faith Lutheran Church
through its Scout Master, Roy Palmer, has requested the use of
Pigeon Square, a triangular area bounded by Wabasha Street,
Eighth and Ninth Streets, for a thirty,-Aay period, for the pur-
pose of establishing a display designed to emphasize safety with
respect to traffic accidents, water accidents; and fire accidents,
therefore be it
RESOLVED, that Troop No. 100, Boy Scouts of America, of
Faith Lutheran Church, is heieby authorized,'to place, maintain
and operate on said City owned property, a display to emphasize
a safety program in the City of Saint Paul,1for the period of
one month, from July 1 to July 31, inclusive, 1958; be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that said Troop, under the supervision of
Roy Palmer, Scout Master, shall take all reasonable precautions
for the safety of persons andproperty in and adjacent to said
area used for the afcaementioned display; that the aforementioned
organization shall restore the area to its prior condition after
the conclusion of the project; that the permission hereby granted
may be revoked at any time by the Commissioner of Public Works or
the Council of the City of Saint Paul should said City so desire.
