RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Contract Committee
therefor and hereby awards contract for the Electrical Work for Fridley Pumping
Station, 1958 Improvements (Contract No. 3) to COLLINS EIECTRICAL CONSTRUCTION
COMPANY in accordance with City plans and specification therefor hereto attached
and the Formal Bid #7103 of said Collins Electrical Construction Company for the
contract price of $12,340.00, such bid being the lowest and said Collins
Electrical Construction Company being a reasonable and reliable bidder, and the
Corporation` Counsel be and hereby is directed to draw up the proper form of
contract therefor, and the proper City officials hereby are authorized to
execute said contract on behalf of the City of Saint Paul.
FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the recommendation of the
Contract Committee and rejects the one bid received for the Mechanical and General
Construction work for this project for the reason that the one bid received was
considerably over the engineer's estimate.
