Holland — Whereas, Heretofore, on March 3, 1950, the Council of the City of Saint Paul did extend permission to the St. Paul Community Service, Inc. to erect a com -, ",z on a _ portion of WHEREAS, heretofore, on March 3, 1450, the Council of the City of Saint Paul did extend permission to the St. Paul Community Service, Inc. to erect a community building on a portion of Merriam Park, the same to be presented to the City of Saint Paul upon completion, reserving to St. Paul Community Service, Inc. the free and exclusive occupancy, management, . control, use and maintenance of said building, as provided for by Minnesota Statutes, Section 450.23, and 'WHEREAS, the St. Paul CommunityiService, Inc. has duly changed its name to Merriam Park Community Center, Inc., said corporation being an unincorporated society of this State, organized for the general purposes of fostering and promoting educational, artistic, and scientific interests, or some one or more of them, and not for any purpose of pecuniary gain or profit to any of its members, and WHEREAS, the said Merriam Park Community Center, Inc. has delivered to Commissioner Bernard T. S. A. 450.23, a copy of which is hereto attached'and made a part hereof, and be it FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul, on behalf of its citizens, hereby extends its thanks and gratitude to the Merriam Park Community Center, Inc. and all of its members, for the gift of the building herein - above described, and be it FURTHER RESOLVED, that a certified copy of the resolution of the said organization, as above described, be attached hereto and made a part hereof, and that the instruments of transfer of the said building herein referred to be filed in the proper offices of record, and be it FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk of the City of Saint Paul is hereby directed to send a certified copy of this resolution, with its attachments, to the Merriam Park Community Center, Inc.
