HOLLAND, Commissioner ARTHUR F. COLEMAN, Deputy Commissioner June 10, 1958 Comsr. Bernard T. Holland Dept. of Parks, Playgrounds And Public Buildings Dear Sir: ROBERT A. LOBDELL Supt. of Public Recreation Contract Number G -1094 was awarded to St. Paul Sheet.As- phalt Co. for the Installation of Tennis Courts, Bituminous Surfacing and Fencing for the Edgcumbe Playground, Baker Playground, Phalen Tennis Courts and Highland Tennis Courts. During the course of the work under this contract, it was found desirable to lay a mat of blacktop on the south half of the tennis courts at Baker Playground, to be two inches thick at the rear fence and to feather down to match in with the old surface. The area to be blacktopped is approx- imately 100 feet by 60 feet. An area on the other half of the court is to be patched so the water will drain out. Negotiations have been conducted with the contractor, who agrees to do this work for $832.50, which is a reasonable amount for the labor and material involved. It is therefore requested that a resolution be submitted to the Council, authorizing this extra in the amount of $832.50 to Contract G -1094 to cover the'dbove described work. Yours truly, - A2fH .
