scientific interests, or some one or more of them,
and not for any purpose of pecuniary gain or profit
to any of its members, and upon such other conditions,
but subject to such regulations and restrictions, as
shall be approved by the board of park commissioners.
"The board may likewise accept gifts and
bequests of money and otherpersonal property to be
used for any of these purposes."
'You are advised that the bill of sale presented by the
Merriam Park Community Center, Inc. should be filed with the
City Clerk of the City of Saint Paul.
We have made inquiry as to whether or not the Register
of Deeds of Ramsey County would accept the quitclaim deed
presented to your Ddpartment by this organization. They have
advised us that the description contained in the quitclaim
deed is not sufficient to permit them to file the same in -that
office of record. They will accept the quitclaim deed if, in
addition to the description now contained in the deed, there
is a further legal description of the property upon which the
building is located. In this instance it would be the full
legal description of Meriiam Park, Saint Paul, Minnesota, as
you have the same on your records. While it is not abso-
lutely necessary to file this quitclaim deed, if you care to
do so the legal descriptionof Merriam Park should be added to
that description already contained in the deed.
Yours very truly,
Marshall F. Hurley
