RESOLVED, That the Board of Water Commissioners is hereby
authorized to enter into a lease with Gloria Dei Evangelical
Lutheran Church, a Minnesota religious corporation, leasing to.
said Church the building formerly occupied as a fire station
located on Water Department property at the southeast corner
of the intersection of Highland Parkway and South Snelling Avenue,
under the following terms:
1. The term of the lease shall begin August 15, 1958, and
terminate August 14, 1959. However, the lessee, at its option,
shall have the right to renew the lease for a period of one fur-
ther year by giving a thirty -day written notice to the lessor.
2. The consideration shall be the payment of a rental of
$1.00 per year, and in addition the lessee shall provide all
maintenance of said building, including fuel, electricity, all
necessary repairs, remodeling or alterations necessary to make
said building usable as a social center for youth activities,
and shall provide all janitor services.
3. The lessee shall carry adequate insurance to protect -
both-the City's property and the City, and the Board of Water
Commissioners and their property, from all claims and liability
arising out of the lessee's use of said property.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the proper officers of the
Board of Water Commissioners are authorized to execute such a
lease.

RESOLVED* That the Board of Water Commissioners is hereby
