The City Council requested that you prepare a resolution granting the
attached application of Brady Motorfrate for permit to install and operate
a private filling station in conjunction with their truck terminal at the
southeast corner of Pelham Blvd. and Wabash Ave., on the west 225 ft. of Lot B,
George H. Watson's Rearrangement of Block 20, Baker's Addition, in accordance
with applicant's plans approved July 31, 1958, and subject to regulations of
the Fire Department.

Dear Sir:
This is in the matter of the application of Brady Motorf rate for a permit to
install a private filling station in conjunction with their truck terminal
located on the southeast corner of Pelham Boulevard and /abash Avenue. The
property is described as the west 225' of Lot B, George H. Watson's rearrangement
of Block 20, Bakers Addition. The zoning is heavy industry. A public hearing is
not required.
The adjacent land uses a4e as follows: adjacent to the east, vacant land, part of
which is used for parking; south acid adjoining, railroad tracks; west across Pel-
ham Boulevard, Schirmer Transportation Company,; north across Wabash Avenue, Donaldson
Company, manufacturer of air cleaners`.
The proposed layout and operation of the filling station have been approved by
the Traffic Engineer and applicant's plans meet existing standards for this type
of facility. Field investigation discloses no objection from the standpoint of ad-
jacent land-use or traffic.
In consideration of these factors, the Board'of Zoning recommends that this permit
to install and operate a private filling station be granted in accordance with
applicant's plans approved July 31, 1958, subject to regulations.of the Fire
Department.

Dear Sir:
In regard to the application of the Brady Motorfrate Com-
pany, 656 Pelham Blvd., for permission to install and operate a
private filling station, for fueling company vehicles only.
They wish to install (1) island, (1) pump and (1) 8,000
gallon tank for Diesel Fuels underground.
We have investigated the foregoing and report that the
above desired installation will be installed in accordance with
rules and regulations of the National Board of Fire Undervriters
and the St. Paul Fire Prevention Code, and therefore recommend that
permit be granted.
