WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Libraries, Auditorium, Museums and Stadia has
reported in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an
emergency during the period from June lst through July 26, 1958 which rendered
necessary the employment of certain employees of the Department of Libraries,
Auditorium, Museums and Stadia, Bureau of Auditorium, more than eight hours per
day or forty hours per week in doing the following work:
Operate switchboard, ventilating systems and also to
supervise during the Pop Concerts held in the building.
WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circum-
stances:
No other trained help available to work during the
Pop Concerts and figure skating sessions held in the
building. This time includes Saturdays, Sundaysand
holiday.
BE IT RESOLVED, That the proper City Officers are hereby authorized to
