OF OF THE CITY CLERK COUN ESOLUTION- GENERAL FORM PRESENTED BY COMMISSIONI WHEREAS., the Commissioner of Public Utilities has reported, in accordance _ with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from July 16th to July 31st 1958 inc., which rendered necessary the gmployment of.certain employees of the Water Department for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following work: 2 WRepairing pumping and control equipment. Working extra shifts at Filtration Plant and at various pumping stations. (3) Finishing installation of, and repairing water mains, service connections and manholes. (4) Taking emergency calls at Storeyard: (5) Driving country crew to and from work. AND WHEREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances: 1 Necessary to do work during low consumption hours. 2 Illness of employees on regular shifts. 3 In order to give consumers water,and fire protection,as soon as possible: (4) Nights and Sundays. (5 ) On account of scattered work locations. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the proper city officers are hereby authorized.to pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Council's Salary Ordinance, Ordinance No: 6+6.
