Initiating Problem, Issues, Opportunity (Who, What, When, Where, Why): - A new state law entitled Tenant Remedies Action, provided authority for individuals and organizations to seek court assistance in facilitationg the repair of properties with numerous code violations. The court appointed an administrator who performed the necessary repairs on this property. The administrator then invoiced the City for ihe cost. Advantages If Approved: - The City will be able to recover the cost of repairing ihis condemned property and making it safe aud habitabie. The City can replenish its funds for future rehabilita6on work through The Tenants Remedy AcNon Program.
