RESOLVED, that the Board of Christian Services be permitted
t4nstall and operate a 90 —car parking ramp in connection with Bethesda
Hospital, on property at the northwest corner of Como Avenue and Capitol
Boulevard, more particularly described as Lots 10, 11, and 12, Block 14,
Brewster's Addition to St Paul, subject to compliance with the provisions
of all ordinances governing the operation of parking lots, and subject
further to the condition that the sidewalk abutting said premises be kept
clean and free of ice and snow at all times.

i Dear Sir:
This is in the matter of the Board of Christian Services for a permit to install
;., and operate a parking ramp in connection with Bethesda hospital on property
located adjacent to the northwest corner of Como Avenue and Capitol Boulevard.
This property is described as Lots 10, 11 and 12, Block 14,Brewsters Addition.
The zoning is "C ". Residence.
�.� The property has a frontage of 150' on Capitol Boulevard and 150' on Como
Avenue. The applicants propose to construct a four level ramp garage for visitor
parking in connection with Bethesda Hospital. The fourth level of the ramp will
I be at'the approximate street grade of Como Avenue and the third level will be at
the,approximate street grade of Capitol Boulevard. The plans call for one drive -
t way.from Como Avenue and one driveway from Capitol Boulevard. The capacity of
this ramp will be for approximately 90 cars.
1� The proposed plans have been approved by the Traffic Engineer, the street bighway
coordinator, and the City Architect, and are in accordance with existing stand-
ards for this type of facility.
The adjacent land uses are as follows: residential uses are to the north, west
I and east, and Bethesda Hospital is directly across Como Avenue to the south.
E In view of the approval of the above agencies, the need for this type of faci-
lity in order to enable the Bethesda Hospital to improve their services to the
community and 'the development of this site in such a manner as to preserve the
i7 residential amenities of the adjacent land uses, the Board of Zoning recommends
i that this permit be.granted in accordance with the applicant's plans approved
May 22, 1958.
