An Ordinance granting permission to the
Great Northern Railway Company to install
and construct interlocking signal
facilities in the northwesterly ten feet
of the Sixth Street Bridge easement in
the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota. This
is an emergency ordinance rendered neces-
sary for the preservation of the public
peace, health and safety.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
SECTION 1.
That the Great Northern Railway Company, until
otherwise directed by the Council, may construct interlocking
signal facilities in the northwesterly ten feet of the Sixth
Street Bridge easement, said facilities beginning at approxi-
mately the northeast right of way line of the Northern Pacific
Railway Company and extending northeasterly approximately
fifteen feet.
SECTION 2.
All plans and construction of the said interlocking
signal facilities must be approved by the Commissioner of
Public Works and the Chief Engineer of the Department of
Public Works.
SECTION 3.
This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency
ordinance rendered necessary for the preservation of the public
peace, health and safety.
SECTION 4.

from and after its passage, approval and publication,

Street Bridge easement, said facilities beginning at approxio
mately the northeast right of way line of the Northern Pacific
Railway Company and extending Northeasterly approximately

1 copy of Ordinance No. 11308, C.F. 188560. The ordinance
grants to the Great Northern Railway Company permission to
construct interlocking signal facilities in the northwesterly
10 feet of the City's Sixth Street Bridge easement in St. Paul.
We are enclosing Railway Company's check No. 35683 in the
amount of $6.35 to cover the cost of publication of the
ordinance. Also enclosed is your second letter of August 27,
1958, which should be signed acknowledging receipt of the
payment and returned to us.
