NCIL RESOLUTION — GENERAL FORM Whereas -John G. Thomas, an em-
ployee of the Department of Public
Safety of the City of Saint Paul, was

WHEREAS, John G. Thomas, an employe of the
Department of Public Safety of the City of Saint Paul,
was injured on January 6, 1958, in a third party accident,
while engaged in the performance of his duties for the
Department of Public Safety, and the City has incurred
medical expenses in the amount of $39.00 therefor, and
the employe, by reason of said injury, was disabled for
work for a period of time, being paid the amount of $322.41
therefor; and
WHEREAS, a settlement has been negotiated by
the parties in the total amount of $39000.00, including
the amount of $361.41 to which the City was subrogated
for medical expense and salary, and that the sum of $90.35
representing the attorney's fees was deducted from the latter
amount, leaving $271.06 to be paid to the City toward its
expenses and wages paid the employe; and the office of the
Corporation Counsel is in receipt of the check of George G.
McPartlin, attorney for the employe, in the amount of $271.06,
payable to the City of St. Paul, as well as the draft of
Dairyland Mutual Insurance Company, insurer of John Ross
Wood, the third party involved in said accident, in the
amount of $361.41 and payable to the City of Saint Paul and
George G. McPartlin,
Now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED,
authorized to accept
due it in connection
said employe, in the
attorney for the emp.
to Fund 31 -G1 -B, and
it further
That the proper City officers are hereby
said settlement, solely for the amount
with the personal injary sustained by
amount of $271.06 from George G. McPartlin,
Loye; that of said amount, $39.00 be credited
$232.06 be credited to Fund 8 -C -1; and be
RESOLVED, That the proper City officers are autho3ized
to sign the necessary releases and execute the draft of Dairy -
land Mutual Insurance Company payable to the City and George C.
McPartlin in the amount of $361 41
