WBFMS, the -Commissioner of Public Safety has reported, in accordance
with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency
during the period from July 1, 1958 to July 51, 1958, which rendered
necessary the employment of certain employees in the Department of
Public Safety for more than eight hours per day, or forty hours per
week, in doing the following work:
Maintenance work in the Bureau of Building Maintenance and
WHEREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and

Cleaning and remodeling second and third floors of the
Public Safety Building.
THE WORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the proper city officers are hereby
authorised to pay the employees who performed such work in accordance
with the provision of the Council's Salary Ordinance Noe 6446.
