WHEREAS, on October 3, 2009, the Department of Safety and Inspections received nodce from the State of
Minnesota that Cash A Check, LLC d/b/a Money Xchange (License ID#20000001516) for the premises located at
2431 7'" Street West, submitted an application to renew its Minnesota Currency Exchange license; and
WHEREAS, on October 24, 2009, notification letters were sent to surrounding neighbors to determine if
there were any objections to the license renewal; and
WHEREAS, on November 17, 2009, no objections were received to the license renewal; and
WFIEREAS, on November 18, 2009, a License Notification was sent for renewal of the Minnesota C�rrency
Exchange license; and
WHEREAS, on November 30, 2009, the Department of Safety and Inspections received the letter sent to the
licensee retumed from the U.S. Postal Service with a notation indicating that the new address was 2481 7` Street
West; and
WHEREAS, on December 10, 2009, an inspection was conducted at the licensed address by the Department
of Safety and Inspections (DSn and it was discovered that the business is no longer operating at 2431 7`" Street
West; and
WHEREAS, on December 14, 2009, a letter was sent from the Department of Safety and Inspections to the
licensee stating that due to the fact that the business is no longer operating at the address provided on the application,
their Minnesota Cunency Exchange license renewal was being disapproved; now therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Minnesota Cunency Exchange renewal applicauon submitted by Cash A Check, LLC
d/b/a Money Xchange for the premises located at 2431 7�' Street West is hereby disapproved.

Dear Ms. Brown:
The Departrnent of Safety and Inspecrions (ASI) for the City of Saint Paul hereby notifies the Minnesota
Department of Commerce that the application for renewal of the above referenced Mumesota Currency
Exchange License for Cash A Check LLC, doing business as Money Xchange at 2431 7�' Street West
must be disapproved at this time.
Our investiga6on of this license renewal has determined that the business no longer exists at the address
provided on either the application, or license renewal letter from you dated 11/02/2009 (received by the
Ciiy of Saint Paul on 11/12/2009). In order for the City of Saint Paul to review a license application of
this nature, we must be provided with an application having the correct address.
Additionally, we have evidence indicating the above referenced business may have moved to a new
location with an address of 2481 7 Street West. Moving the currency exchange business from 2431 7�
Street West to 2481 7�` Street West may not comply with the City of Saint PauPs Zoning Code.
Therefore, if Cash A Check LLC intends to make application fox a new currency exchange license at this
new location, they may want to first consult with Corinne Tilley, DSI — Zoning Section, at 651-266-
