WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Libraries, Auditorium, Museums and Stadia has
reported in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an
emergency during the period from May 4th through May 31st3 1958 which rendered
necessary the employment of certain employees of the Department of Libraries
Auditorium, mu
.t and Stadia, Bureau of Auditorium, more than eight hours per
day or forty hours per week in doing the following work:
Operate switchboard, ventilating systems and also to
supervise during the many activities held in the building.
and WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the following facrs and circum-
stances:
No other trained help available to work during the
conventions, Festival of Nations, Women's Institute
programs, Boy Scouts and other events held in the
building. This time includes Saturdays, Sundays and
Holiday.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the proper City Officers are hereby authorized to
pay the employees who performed such work in accordance
the Council's Salary Ordinance No. 6446.
