In the Matter of improving the Northern Route from Prior Avenue to 550 feet east of
Snelling Avenue on the existing highway easement by paving the same with-asphaltic
concrete surfacing on crushed rock base; by constructing curbing and sidewalks where
necessary; by reconstructing storm water drainage facilities; by reconstructing the
paving, curbing and sidewalks on the intersecting streets where not in conformity with
said improvement and by doing all other work which is necessary and incidental to said
improvement,
under Preliminary Order___________ 186216___ _______________approved ______ ____ February 18, 1958.

----------------------------------- A public hearing having been had upon the above improvement upon due notice, and the Council
having heard all persons, objections and recommendations relative thereto, and having fully considered
the same; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of St. Paul that the precise nature, extent and kind of im-
provement to be made by the said City is improve the Northern Route from Prior Avenue to
550 feet east of Snelling Avenue on the existing highway easement by paving the same
with asphaltic concrete surfacing on Qrushed rock base; by constructing curbing and
sidewalks where necessary; by reconstructing storm water drainage facilities; by
reconstructing the paving, curbing and sidewalks on the intersecting streets where
not in conformity with said improvement and by doing all other work which is necessary
and incidental to said improvement,
and the Council hereby orders said improvement to be made.
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Commissioner of Public Works be and is hereby instructed and
directed to prepare plans and specifications for said improvement, and submit same to the Council for
approval; that upon said approval, the proper city officials are hereby authorized and directed to pro-
ceed with the making of said improvement in accordance therewith.

The Commissioner of Public Works, having had under consideration
the preliminary order of the Council, known as Council File No. 186216 ,
approved February 18th lg 58 , relative to

concrete surfacing on a crushed rock base; by constructing curbing and side-
walks where necessary; by reconstructing storm water drainage facilities;
by reconstructing the paving, curbing and sidewalks on the intersecting
streets where not in conformity with said improvement and by doing all
other work which is necessary and incidental to said improvement under Pre-
liminary Order C. F. 186216, approved February 18, 1958•

City's Share of Cost (Bond Fund 200 -ST 10)$116,189.00'
Estimated property assessment is based on making the following pav-
ing assessment rate per front foot.
2200 Lin. Ft. 0$5.00 = $11,000.00
The necessary curbing and sidewalk work are considered as included
in the paving assessment.
