ZONING, CITE' )717 CITY HALL AND COURT HOU111 Mr. Joseph Okoneski City Clerk Building _ Dear Sir: 1 OF SAINT PAUL SAINT PAUL 2, MINNESOTA Kay28, 1958 This is in the matter of the'application of the D X SunRay Oil Company for a permit to remodel an existing filling station on property located between Fifth and Sixth Streets in the center of the block between Minnesota and Robert•Streets. This property is described as Lots 4, 5, 12 and 13, Block 11, St. Paul Proper. The zoning is commercial. A public hearing is not necessary in this matter. The property under consideration has a frontage of 100' on both Fifth and Sixth Streets and extends a distance of 300' between these two streets. .It is presently being used as a public parking -lot for which a permit was issued on February 8, 1958 to increase the parking area. There has been an existing filling station on this property for some time. Appli- cants propose to relocate the existing pump and to install two 1,000 gallon underground storage tanks. The plans meet existing standards for this type of facility and have been approved by the Traffic Engineer and Fire Prevention Bureau. Field investigation discloses no objection•_from the standpoint of adjacent land use or traffic. 'In consideration of these factors, the Board of-Zoning recommends that this permit to relocate this existing filling station operation incident to a public parking lot be granted in accordance with appli- cant's plans approved May 22,',1958.
