This is an emergency ordinance rendered necessary for the preserva- tion of the public peace, health, and safety. THE COUNCIL OF THE C ITY" OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN: s Section 1. That Chapter 4 of the Saint Paul Legislative r- Code be amended by adding a- paragraphito Section 4.03 -5 (Exceptions to Restriction,s.,of Construction Within the Fire Limits) to _ be known as: L Enclosed and -open air parking garages complying with Section 12.05, o£..unprotected noncombustible con - struction. Section 2 -. That Chapter_ " 12.of the Saint Paul Legislative Code, be.-amended by deleting paragraph g from Section 12.05 -7 (Open Air Parking Garages) and adding ih lieu thereof: g. Open air parking garages shall not exceed 75 feet in height nor 30,000 square feet in area when of pro- tected noncombustible construction and shall not exceed 50 feet in height nor 20,000 feet in area when of un- protected noncombustible construction. Section 3. TYri -s ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency ordinance rendered necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, and safety. N Section 4.
