RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Commissioner of Public Works be and is hereby instructed and ! directed to prepare plans and specifications for said improvement, and submit same to the Council for approval; that upon said approval, the proper city,officials are hereby authorized and directed to pro- ceed with the making of said improvement in accordance therewith. The undersigned, as property owners occupying homes on lots immediately - adjacent to Kenneth Avenue in the two block area mentioned wish to register our vigorous disapproval of this action. The installation of sidewalks in said area, would in our opinion, be an unjustified expense. We respectfully request this project be dropped. A. requests a sidewalk be installed on Kenneth St. from Highland Parkway to Ford Road. The school police, composed of fifth and sixth grade children, conducts lines four times a day over the above route. - They must use the streets during the rainy and snowy seasons. Dear Mr. Winkel: The Safety Committee of'Horace Mann School, wrote a letter to Mr. Marzitelli•January 10, 1957. We rbquested a sidewalk on Kenneth Street, from Highland Parkway to Ford Road. Our school patrol walks this'stkeet four times a day and we feel, in the interest of safety, sidewalks are necessary.
