A public hearing having been had upon the above improvement upon due notice, and the Council
having heard all persons, objections and recommendations relative thereto, and having fully considered
the same; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of St. Paul that the precise nature, extent and kind of im-
provement to be made by the said City is the construction of a monolithic concrete sidewalk
on east side of Lexington Parkway from Hoyt Ave. to Larpenteur Ave. except where
satisfactory sidewalk exists
and the Council hereby orders said improvement to be made.
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Commissioner of Public Works be and is hereby instructed and
directed to prepare plans and specifications for said improvement, and submit same to the Council for
approval; that upon said approval, the proper city officials are hereby authorized and directed to pro-
ceed with the making of said improvement in accordance therewith.

The Commissioner of Public Works, having had under consideration
the preliminary order of the Council, known as Council File No. 187,172 ,
approved April 25th. , lg 58 , relative to the construction of a

monolithic concrete sidewalk on the east side of Lexington Parkway from Hoyt
Ave. to Larpenteur Ave. except where satisfactory sidewalk exists.
and having investigated the matters and things referred to therein, hereby
reports:
1. Said improvement is X necessary and (or) desirable.

I am advised that a sidewalk installation is being contemplated
on the street including the property at 1660 No. Lexington Avenue.
I have purchased the home at this address and plan to occupy said
residence within a few weeks. -
It is my request that the City Council postpone any action on
this walk installation until such time as I have moved into the
residence and had an opportunity to express my views on whether
I am opposed to any such sidewalk installation.
The consideration of the Council in this request is appreciated.
