The Legislative Hearing Officer reviewed the following appeals and made her recommendations
prior to the hearings. The property owners were notified and did not appear:
Appeal of Jeffrey Beissel, Beissel Window & Siding to the denial of a building permit to
replace e,�ess windows for property at 1345 Colbv Avenue.
Ms. Moermond recommended granting a 3-inch variance on the openable height of replacement
egress windows in two bedrooms.
2. Appeal of Robert Alf, Bob AIf Conshuction to the denial of a building permit to replace
egress windows for property at 701 Cottage Avenue West.
Ms. Moermond recommended granting a 2-inch variance on the openable height of the
replacement egress windows in the middle and west bedrooms, and a 6-inch variance on the
openable height of the egress window in the north bedroom.
Appeal of Theodore Weidman to the denial o£ a building permit to replace egress
windows for property at 2043 Itasca Avenue.
Ms. Moermond recommended granting an 8-inch variance on the openable height of the
replacement egress windows in the front and back bedrooms.
A. Appeal of Joe Juvland to the denial of a building permit to replace egress windows for
property at 1589 Chamber Street.
Ms. Moermond recommended granting an 8-inch variance on the openable height of the
replacement egress windows in two ground floor bedrooms.
5. Appeal of Mark Guidinger, PRC Acquisitions, to a Certificate of Occupancy Deficiency
List for property at 664 Davton Avenue.
Lower Unit: Ms. Moermond recommended granting a 2-inch variance on the openable width of
the bedroom casement window and a 2-inch variance on the openable height of the bedroom
double-hung window.
Upper Unit: Ms. Moermond recommended granting a 2-inch variance on the openable width of
the bedroom casement window and a 1-inch variance on the openable height of the bedroom
double-hung window.
6. Appeal of Donald Cameron to a Certificate of Occupancy Deficiency List for property at
556 Ashland Avenue.
Ms. Moermond recommended granting a 2.5-inch variance on the openable height of the egess
window in the front bedroom of Unit 5.
