Whereas, The City Council of the
City of Saint Paul did by its Resolution
Council File No. 169541, adopted July
30, 1954, pursuant to the provisions
of Minnesota Statutes Annotated, Sec-
tion 482.485, Subdivision 3 (Laws ,of
Minnesota 1951, Chapter 568, Section
4), approve the site known as� the
Mt. Airy Site, bounded and described
as follows:
"Beginning at the point where the
centerlines of Jackson Street and

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul did by
its Resolution Council File No. 169541, adopted July 30, 1954, pursuant
to the provisions of Minnesota Statutes Annotated, Section 462.465,
Subdivision 3 (Laws of Minnesota 1951, Chapter 568, Section 4),
approvew; the site known as the Mt. Airy Site, bounded and described
as follows:
"Beginning at the point where the centerlines of
Jackson Street and Valley Street intersect, thence
easterly along the center line of Valley Street to
the point where the centerlines of Valley .Street
and Broadway Street intersect, thence southeasterly
along the centerline of Broadway Street to a point
where the centerlines of Broadway Street and 14th
Street intersecti thence northeasterly along the
centerline of 14th Street to a point where the
centerlines,of 14th Street and L'Orient Street
intersect, thence northerly along the centerline
of L.'Orient Street to the point where the center-
lines of L'Orient Street and Minnehaha Avenue
intersect, thence westerly along the centerline
of Minnehaha Avenue to the point where the center-
line intersects an extension of the western lot
line of Lot Four (4), Block One (1), Ashton and
Sherburne's Addition, thence southerly along the
said line continuing on the westerly lot line of
Lot Twenty -one (21) in said block to the point at
which said line extended and the centerline of
Pennsylvania Avenue intersect, thence westerly
along the centerline of Pennsylvania Avenue to the
point where the centerlines of Pennsylvania Avenue
and Jackson Street intersect, thence southerly
along the centerline of Jackson Street to the point
of beginning,"
for development as Low -Rent Public Housing Project Minnesota 1 -3; and
WHEREAS, the development and improvement of a portion of

said Low -Rent Housing Project Area included the construction of a
community building End recreational area to provide recreational
facilities to the residents of said project area with the expense
thereof having been shared between the Housing and Redevelopment
Authority of the City of Saint Paul and the City of Saint Paul,
Minnesota, under Agreement dated May 9, 1957; and
WHEREAS, the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the
City of Saint Paul, Minnesota, does desire to acquire additional
parcels of land located immediately outside of the boundary area
of said Low -Rent Housing Project and in the immediate vicinity of
said community building and recreational site for the purpose of
having same included as part of said Low -Rent Housing Project Area,
and after acquisition to be leased to the City of Saint Paul for
playground purposes as part of the existing Agreement, and lease
of the community building and recreational site; and
WHEREAS, the acquisition of said additional parcels of
land involves a change in the boundary description of said project
area subject to the approval of the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota,
in accordance with the provisions of Minnesota Statutes Annotated,
Section 462.465, Subdivision 3, as amended,
Now, Therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the City Council of the City of Saintf,Paul,
Minnesota.,.pursuant to the provisions of Minnesota Statutes Annotated,
Section 462.465, Subdivision 3, as amended, does hereby amend its
Resolution Council File No. 169541, adopted July 30, 1954, and does
hereby approve the following boundary description for said Low -Rent
Housing Project, known as the Mt. Airy Site:
"Beginning at the point where the centerline of
Jackson Street intersects the centerline of Wales
Street, the latter being shown on plat maps as a
dedicated street but which street has not been
improved, thence easterly along the centerline of
Wales Street to the intersection of Wales Street
and Valley Street, thence easterly along the center-
line of Valley Street to the point where the center-
lines of Valley Street and Broadway Street intersect,
thence'southeasterly along the centerline of Broadway
Street to a point where the centerlines of Broadway
Street and 14th Street intersect, thence northeasterly
along the centerline of 14th Street to a point where
the centerlines of 14th Street and LtOrient Street
intersect, thence northerly along the centerline of
L'Orient Street to the point where the centerlines
