WHEREAS, the Detention and Corrections Authority of the
City-o-f Saint Paul and the County of Ramsey has heretofore, on
the 25th day of March , 1959, recommended to the City Council
and the Board of County Commissioners that a special fund be
established in the office of the City Comptroller to which cer-
tain receipts of the Authority may be credited and from which
expenditures may be made on the basis of approval therefor by
the Detention and Corrections Authority; and
WHEREAS, it was further suggested that receipts to be
credited to this special fund should be credited commencing January
1, 1959, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Comptroller is authorized..a.nd- directed
to establish, on behalf of the Detention and Corrections Authority,
a special fund hereinafter designated as Special Fund 1047 Detention
Authority Receipts.,'Fund; be it
FURTREK`RFSOLVED, That the afbremen'tioned" f-und sha,1l co,n =`-
sist of any and all receipts of funds which would increase funds
of the Authority in excess of the amounts budgeted therefor by
the City or County; and be it
FINALLY RESOLVED, That with respect to any balance re-
maining in this Special Fund at the time of budget approval, such
balance or portion thereof as the Authority may in its discretion
determine may be used to decrease the budget request of the
Authority for the following year.
