A public hearing having been had upon the above improvement upon due notice, and the Council
having heard all persons, objections and recommendations relative thereto, and having fully considered
the same; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of St. Paul that the precise nature, extent and kind of im-
provement to be made by the said City is to construct a public sewer in Jackson Street from
Maryland Ave. to Hawthorne Ave. and in Jackson Street from the existing sewer approximately
190 feet south of the center line of Arlington Ave. as platted west of Jackson Street to
a point that is.rapproximately 1250 feet south of,the center line of Arlington Ave. as
platted west of Jackson Street
and the Council hereby orders said improvement to be made.
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Commissioner of Public Works be and is hereby instructed and
directed to prepare plans and specifications for said improvement, and submit same to the Council for
approval; that upon said approval, the proper city officials are hereby authorized and directed to pro-
ceed with the making of said improvement in accordance therewith.

To the Commissioner of Finance of the City of Saint Paul:
The Commissioner of Public Works, having had under consideration
the preliminary order of the Council, known as Council File No. 190849
approved February 3rd 19-5-9, relative to constructing a public sewer
in Jackson St. from Maryland Ave. to Hawthorne Ave. and in Jackson St. from the
existing sewer approx. 190 feet south of the centerline of Arlington Ave. as platted
west of Jackson St. to a point'that is approx. 1250 ft. south of the centerline of
Arlington Ave. as platted west of Jackson St.
and having investigated the matters and things referred to therein, hereby
reports:
1. Said improvement is necessary and (or) desirable.
2. The estimated cost thereof is $ 11,741.14 , and the total cost
(See Letter Attached)
thereof is $ and the nature and extent of said improvement
is as follows:
3. A plan, profile or sketch of said improvement is hereto attached
and made a part hereof.

Avenue to Hawthorne Avenue and in Jackson Street from the existing sewer
approximately 190 feet south of the center line of Arlington Avenue as platted
west of Jackson Street to a point that is approximately 1250 feet south of the
center line of Arlington Avenue as platted west of Jackson Street, under Pre-
liminary Order C. F. 190849, approved February 3, 1959•
The financing of this project as sent to you by our Department was
as follows:
Assessment
$11,741.14
Your Department has reported to us that a considerable amount of
the abutting frontage is low and, therefore, cannot be fully assessed. Also
this sewer is to be used for draining the pavement to be constructed under a
separate order. Therefore, the financing of this project should now be as
follows: -
