RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Purchasing Committee
therefor, and hereby awards contract for furnishing and delivering to the City
of St. Paul Water Department f.o.b. Purification and Filtration Plant, Soo Line
Siding, St. Paul, Minnesota, approximately 9000 tons Burned Lime (Calcium Oxide),
(estimated lime demand for water treatment -for one year), to C UTIER -MAR
COMPANY, in accordance with City specifications and the Formal Bid #7716 of
said Cutler -MagL ",- Company at a price of $17.75 per ton, making total contract
price of approximately $159,750,00, such bid being the lowest and said Cutler - Magner
Company being a reasonable and reliable bidder, and theCorporation Counsel be and
hereby is directed to draw up the proper form of contract therefor, and the proper
City officials hereby are authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the
City of St. Paul,
