Council Resolution: 08-594 approved 06/04/08 WHEREAS, the assessment of benefits, cost and expenses far and in connection with the above improvement has been submitted to the Council for consideration; and WHEREAS, the owners of the property upon which the improvement has been made have voluntarily waived their right to a public hearing and appeal of said assessment by executed agreement and waiver, a copy of which is on file with the Technical Services Division of the Department of Public Works; and WHEREAS, the Council has considered and found satisfactory said assessment; now, therefore be it RESOLVED, that the said assessment be and the same is hereby in all respects ratified; and be it RESOLVED FURTHER, that the said assessment be and is hereby determined to be payable in twen equal installments. The Allen Building at 287 E. 6th St. has completed its facade improvements and the work has been iuspected and approved by the City. The properry owner now requests the assessment in order to pay the conuactors. Advantages If Approved: The property owner may receive payment for the improvements. The City will have the authority to assess for the improvement work. DisadvanWges If Approved: The City will be expending funds now that may not be paid back in full (with interest) for 20 yeazs. Disadvantages N Not Approved: The praperty owner will be unable to secure city funding to pay for the unprovements. The City will not be in compliance with its program guildelines.
