We have completed traffic studies and surveys on the Upper
Afton Road as requested in a resolution adopted by the City
Council on March 18, 1959, and have determined the maximum
safe speed as follows:
40 miles per hour on the Upper Afton Road extending
westerly from the east city limits of St. Paul a
distance of 1.7 miles to the Battle Creek Road.
Thereforg, the establishment of the above limit is approved
and this will authorize the installation of proper speed
limit signs which should be in accordance with the Minnesota
Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Device.
