7MEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Safety has reported, in accordance with
Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period
from May 1, 1959 to May 31, 1959, which rendered necessary the employment of
certain employees in the Department of Public Safety for more than eight hours
per day, or forty hours per week, in doing the following work=
Maintenance work in the Bureau of Building Maintenance and
ARRAS, this emergency arose by reason' of the following facts and circumstances=
Cleaning and remodeling second floor of the Public Safety Building.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVEDs That the proper city officers are hereby authorized to
pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the
Council's Salary Ordinance No, 6446.
