WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Libraries, Auditorium, Miseums and Stadia has reported in
accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the
period from May 31st through July 4, 1959 which rendered necessary the employment of
certain employees of the Department of Libraries, Auditorium, Yuseums and Stadia,
Bureau of Auditorium, ifor more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in
doing the following work:
Operate switchboard, ventilating systems, run ice plant, also to
supervise during high school commencements, boxing and circus held
in the building.
and WHEREAS. This emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances;
No other trained help available to work during various attractions
held in the building. This time includes Saturdays and Sundays and
holidays.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the proper City Officers are hereby authorized to pay
the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Council's
Salary Ordinance No. 6446.
