WHEREAS, the Legislature in the 1959 Regular
Session passed an Act entitled:
AN .AC PERTA INING TO THE CITY OF SAINT
PAUL AND PROVIDING FOR AMENDMENTS TO
THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL;
AUTHORIZING A CHANGE IN THE NAME OF A
DEPARTMENT THEREOF; AND AUTHORIZING
CHANGES IN THE ORGANIZATION AND PERSONNEL
OF THAT DEPARTMENT"
which Act was approved the 24th day of April 1959, and is
designated as Chapter 427 of Laws of Minnesota 1959, and
WHEREAS, said .Act was heretofore approved by the
Council on May 6, 1959 by resolution, Council File No. 192192,
as required by said statute, and
WHEREAS, said statute contemplated ratification
by resolution of this Council to effectuate certain provisions
thereof, now therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Council hereby accepts, adopts;
ratifies and effectuates the change in title of department
as specified in Section 1 of the aforementioned statute, the
change with reference to Charter Funds specified by Section
2 of the aforesaid statute, and modification with .reference to
the title of the Commissioner of that department as specified
in Section 3 of the aforementioned statute, and finally the
modification of Section 425 of Chapter XX of the Chm rter of the
City of Saint Paul, as such modification is provided for by
Section 4 of the aforementioned statute.
