RESOLVED, that Hamm Brewing Company be permitted to install
and operate a 32 -car parking lot for employees, at the southeast
corner of East Minnehaha Avenue and Drewry Lane, in accordance
with plans approved May 7, 1959, -.and subjectto compliance with
the provisions of all ordinances governing the operation of parking
lots and to the further condition that sidewalks abutting said
premises be kept clean and free of ice and snow at all times.

Dear Sir:
This is in the matter of the application of the T. Hamm Brewing Company
for a permit to install and operate'a 32 -car employee parking lot on
property located at the southeast corner of East Minnehaha Avenue and
Drewry Lane. The legal description is: Lot 6, Lot 7C, and Lots 9
through'14, all in Block 2, Irvine's 2nd Addition. The zoning is "light
industrial."
An old three -story masonry warehouse building has been removed from this
site, and an addition to The Hamm Brewing Company's existing office
building has been erected. The applicants propose to install a 32 -car
off - street parking lot for office employees in conjunction with their
office building. The site is of irregular shape, having a frontage of
approximately 150 feet along Drewry Lane.
The adjacent land'uses are: north and adjoining is the new office
building addition; east and south adjoining is the applicant's property;
west across Drewry Lane are two duplexes which front on Drewy Lane.
The Traffic'Engineer has approved the plans which meet standards for
this type of facility. Field investigation discloses no objections
from the standpoint of adjacent land uses.
In consideration of the above factors, the Board of Zoning recommends
the granting of this permit for "a 32 -car employee parking lot on the
above described property in accordance with plans approved May 7, 1959.
