WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Libraries, Auditorium, Museums and Stadia has reported in
accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the
period from August 2nd through August 29th, 1959 which rendered necessary the employment
of certain employees of the Department of Libraries, Auditorium, Museums and Stadia,
Bureau of Auditorium, for more than eight hours per dly or forty hours per week in
doing the following work:
Operate switchboard, ventilating systems and supervise during the IlPop
Musical Ice Revue" concerts and the B. L. F. & E. Convention, Shrine
Convention and American Legion convention held in the building.
AMID WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the fbllowing facts and circumstances:
No other trained help available to work during the various attractions
and conventions held in the building. This time includes Saturdays and
Sundays.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the proper City Officers are hereby authorized to pay
the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Council's
Salary Ordinance No. 6446
