RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Purchasing Committee
therefor and hereby awards contract for furnishing and delivering f.o.b. City of

St, Paul Water Department Purification Plant, Soo Line Siding, St. Paul, Minnesota,
for period of one year from date of countersignature on contract, approximately
400 tons,Solvay "Column" type Liquid Chlorine in carload shipments of thirty tons
each, to MATERIAL SUPPLY CORPORATION, AGENT FOR SOLVAY PROCESS DIVISIONS, SELIER,�
ALLIED CBEMICAL CORPORATION At a price of $86.40 per ton, making total amount of
contract approximately $34,560.00, in accordance with City specifications, general

terms of vendor's standard contract, and the Formal Bid #7782 of said Material Supply
Corporation, Agent for Solvay Process Division, Seller, Allied Chemical Corporation,
such bid-being one of seven identical bids, said bidder being a reasonable and
reliable one and the Corporation Counsel be and hereby is directed to draw up the
proper form of contract therefor and the proper City officials hereby are authorized
to execute said contract on behalf of the City of Saint Paul.
