RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Contract Committee
therefor and hereby awards contract for the Grading7%Orange Avenue from Sylvan
Street to park Street (except work to be done by City Forces), also Construct a
Sewer in Orange Avenue from Park Street to 163' W. of Sylvan Street to J. R.
WALKER & SONS in accordance with City plans and specifications therefor hereto
attached and the Formal Bid #7812 of said J: R. Walker & Sons for the contract
price of X4,966.00 (plus Engineering $397.00 and pl ;uc,,Inspection $99.00 by City
Forces), such bid being the lowest and said J. R. Walker & Sons being a reasonable
and reliable bidder'and the Corporation Counsel be and hereby is directed to draw
up the proper form of contract therefor, and the proper City officials hereby are
authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the City of Saint Paul.
