RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul
that pursuant to the request of the State of Minnesota,
acting in the premises by and through the Minnesota State
Armory'Building Commission, therefor, permission and authority
hereby a e granted unto the State of Minnesota, acting by and
through said Commission in the premises, to make reasonably
necessary test borings in connection with its.investigatorial
work preliminary to the selection of a site for the proposed
new Minnesota National Guard Armory in the City of Saint Paul,
on the following tracts or parcels of land situate in said
City and owned or controller by said City, to -wit:
1. Those parts of Lots 1, 2, 3, 18, 19, 20' and 21
except the easterly 3 feet of said Lots 18 and 19,
Subdivision of Block Number One of Medillts Addition
to the City of Saint Paul, that lie northerly of the
northerly line of Twelfth Street as now improved and
easterly of the easterly line of Cedar Street as now
improved, according to the plat thereof now on file
and of record in the office of the Register of Deeds
in and for Ramsey County, Minnesota;
2. A tract of land known as Central Park and designated
as such on the plat of Central Park Addition to the City
of Saint Paul, now on file and of record in the office
of the Register of Deeds in and for Ramsey County,
Minnesota;
RESOLVED FURTHER, that it appears that such boring tests on
said tracts or parcels -of land are necessary for said State
purpose since said tracts or parcels of land are being considered,
in connection with other tracts or parcels of land, for the
selection by the State of said site,it being contemplated that
said boring tests shall be made and conducted within the ensuing
twelve months period.

Dear Mr. Winkel:
In consideripg the site 366r a National Guard armory in the City of
St. Paul, the state, through the Minnesota State Armory Building Commission,
requests permission of the City of St. Paul to make a quantity of test
borings on the following property in which-title is now vested in the city;
1. Those parts of Lots 1, 2, 3, 18, 19, 20 and 21, except the
easterly 3 feet of said Lots 18 and 19, Subdivision of Block Number
One of Medili's Addition to the City of Saint Paul, that lie northerly
of the northerly line of Twelfth Street as now improved and easterly
of the easterly line of Cedar Street as now improved, according to
the plat thereof now on file and of record in the office of the
Register of Deeds in and for Ramsey County, Minnesota.
2. A tract of land known as Central Park and designated as such on
