August 12, 1959 Mr. Joseph Okoneski City Clerk Building Dear Sir: This is in the matter of the application of the Multi -Clean Products Company for a permit to install and operate a 45 car employee parking lot on property located on the west side of Woodlawn Avenue between Highland Parkway and Ford Parkway. The property is described as Lots 5 and 6, Block 5, St.'Catherine Park Addition. This property was reclassi- fied to Light Industrial December 27, 1958, for the purpose of installing this parking lot. Prior to that it was classified "C" Residence, Heavy Industrial and "A11 Residence at various times, the last classification having been "C" Residence from February 1939 to December 1958. The site is presently vacant and the applicant proposes to construct a private parking lot for the employees of the Multi -Clean Products Company which adjoins the property under consideration. This site has a frontage of 100 feet along Woodlawn Avenue, extending to a depth of 120.06 feet, resulting in a total area of 12,096 square feet. The parking lot will accomodate approximately 31 cars. North and adjoining the site is an apartment building fronting on Woodlawn Avenue; south and adjoining is the Multi -Clean Products Company building; east across Woodlawn Avenue is vacant land and a Multi -Clean Products Company parking lot; west across the alley is the Remington -Rand Univac Division private parking lot. The Traffic Engineer has approved the plan which meets the standards for this type of installation. Field investigation discloses no objections from the standpoint of adjacent land use. In consideration of the above factors, the Board of Zoning recommends the granting of this permit for a private parking lot on the above described property in accordance with plans approved July 2, 1959.
