In the Matter of improving Como Avenue from Snelling Avenue to Hamline Avenue by
-surfacing the existing pavement and track area with new asphaltic concrete; by
the removal of existing street car track wyes and repaving said areas with new
concrete base and asphaltic concrete surfacing; by reconstructing the paving,
curbing and sidewalks on intersecting streets where not in conformity with
said improvement and by doing all other work necessary and incidental to
complete said improvement -
under Preliminary Order — 190792 approved January 29 1959
The Council of the City of St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of Finance
upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
y 1. ;That the said report and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said improvement
is hereby ordered to be proceeded with.
2. That the nature of the improvement which the Council recommends is to improve' Como
Avenue from Snelling Avenue to Hamlin Avenue by surfacing the existing pavement
and track area with new asphal:,ic concrete; byt-the removal of existing-'-street car -
track wyes and repaving said areas with new concrete base and asphaltic concrete
surfacing; by reconstructing the paving, curbing and sidewalks on intersecting
streets where not in conformity with said improvement and by doing all other work
necessary and incidental to complete said improvement

with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is $ 37 , 061.00
Resolved Further, That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the ?81r day of
_Apri]_ , 19-5-9--, at the hour of 10 o'clock A. M., in the Council Chamber of the Court
Rouse and City Hall Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commissioner of Finance give notice of
said meeting to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, stating the time and place of
hearing, the nature of the improve a t and the total cost thereof as estimated.
