In the Matter of opening, widening and extending an alley from Matilda St. to
the west line of Lot 5, Block 48, Auerbach & Hand's Addition, by taking and
condemning for alley purposes the North 16 ft. of Lots 4 and 5, Block 48,
Auerbach & Hand's Addition; also opening, widening and extending a turn-
around in the northwest corner of Lot 5, Block 48, Auerbach & Hand's Addition,
by taking and condemning the west 20 ft. of the south 20 ft. of the North
36 ft. of Lot 5, Block 48, Auerbach & Hand's Addition, for turn - around
purposes
under Preliminary Order 191085 approved RebruarT2r1, 3.959 9
The Council of the City of St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of Finance
upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said improvement
is hereby ordered to be proceeded with.
2. That the nature of the improvement which the Council recommends is to open, widen and
extend 4h alley from Matilda St. to the west line of Lot 5, Block 48, Auerbach &
Hand's Addition, by-.-taking and condemning for alley purposes the North 16 ft. of
Lots 4 and 5, Block 48;. Auerbach & Hand's Addition; also open, widen and extend
a turn - around in the .northwest corner of Lot 5, Block 48, Auerbach & Hand's Addition,
by taking and condemning the west 20 f-1 -: of the south 20 ft. of the North 36 ft.
of Lot 5, Block 48, Auerbach & Hand's Addition, for turn, - around purposes
with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is $ 25 QQ
Resolved Further, That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 31st day of
March , 19-5-9., at the hour of 10 o'clock A. M., in the Council Chamber of the Court
House and City Hall Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commissioner of Finance give notice of
said meeting to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, stating the time and place of
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.
