M1EREAS, the Commissioner of Public Safety has reported, in accordance with
Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period
from February 1, 1959 to February 28, 1959, which rendered necessary the employment
of certain employees in the Department of Public `Safety « for more than eight hours
per day, or forty hours per week, in doing the following works
Maintenance work in the Bureau of Building Maintenance and
WHEREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and oiroumstanoess
Cleaning and remodeling the Police and Fire Alarm Rooms of the Public
Safety Building,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVEDs That the proper city officers are hereby authorised to
pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provision of the
Council's Salary Ordinance No. 6446.
