The legal description is Lots 24, 25, 26, Block 25, Stinsons' Subdivision of Stinson, Brown and Ramsey's Addition. The zoning is PBS Residential. The site is being developed with a new church and rectory building which includes a three -car garage within the rectory building fronting on Daly Street. The applicants propose to install a driveway 31 feet in width in connection with the above mentioned three -car garage. The building program of the applicant,which involves the new church and rectory build- ing now under construction, together with the existing school building and convent, occupy the entire block bound by Daly Street, James, Palace and Osceola Avenues. The adjacent land uses are: north across Palace Avenue, east across Daly Street and west across Osceola Avenue are single family residences;-south and adjoining is the Saint Francis DeSales School and convent. The Traffic Engineer recommends that the drive -way be limited to 22 'feet although the proposed driveway meets the installation standards. Field investigation discloses no basic objection from the standpoint of adjacent land uses. The Board of Zoning reviewed this matter at their meeting on May 7119593 and recommend the denial of this application for an oversized driveway, 31 feet in width, in connection with a three -car garage to be constructed on the above described property.
