A public hearing having been had upon the above improvement upon due notice and the Council
having heard all persons, objections and recommendations relative thereto, and having fully considered
the same; therefore, be it 11
RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of St. Paul that the precise nature, extent and kind of im-
provement to be made by the said City is. to reconstruct the sidewalk on both sides of Tatum

St. from Chelton Ave. to Hewitt Ave., except where good and sufficient sidewalks now
exist
and the Council hereby orders said improvement to be made.
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Commissioner of Public Works be and is hereby instructed and
directed to prepare plans and specifications for said improvement, and submit same Ito the Council for
approval; that upon said approval, the proper city officials are hereby authorized and directed to pro-
ceed with the making of said improvement in accordance therewith.

The Commissioner of Public Works, having had under consbideration

the preliminary order of the Council, known as Council File No: 191509 ,
approved March 26 19-5.9—, relative to the reconstruction of

the sidewalk on both sides of Tatum .t. from Chelton Ave. to Hewitt Ave.
and having investigated the matters and things referred to therein, hereby
reports:
1. Said improvement is X necessary and (or) desirable.

Dear Mr. Mayor-and Members of the Council,
Pursuant to re.ceipt of- the letter from the Commissioner of Finance,
File 56099 dated June 12, 1959 which reads in part:
"The Council of the City of St. Paul has under consideration
Preliminary Order,191509, approved March 26, 1959,, which proposes
to reconstruct the sidewalk on both sides of Tatum St! from Chelton Ave.
to Hewitt Ave. except where good and sufficient sidewalks now - exist;"
We, the undersigned property owners on Tatum St., take'this means to
inform the City Council that we consider the sidewalklon both sides
of Tatum St.. from Chelton Ave. to Hewitt Ave. to be "good and
sufficient ".
We do not want the City of St. Paul to reconstruct the sidewalk at
this time.
